Description:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to transport goods including hazardous materials to various locations. The ideal candidate is expected to possess a valid CDL Class A license with a Hazmat endorsement demonstrating a commitment to safe vehicle operation and adherence to all transportation regulations. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a box truck adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport hazardous materials ensuring compliance with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections reporting any mechanical issues.
• Load and unload cargo utilizing proper techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety.
• Provide excellent customer service interacting professionally with clients and vendors.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries including logs and manifests.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members using the English language.
• Maintain a good driving record demonstrating responsible driving behavior.
• Handle cargo with care demonstrating fine motor skills during loading and unloading.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat endorsement.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA guidelines.
• General knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently.
• A good driving record demonstrating safe driving practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in transporting hazardous materials.
• Prior experience in customer service roles.
• Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures.
• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
