Duties

• Coordinate all aspects of funeral services including planning scheduling and executing ceremonies that reflect families wishes.
• Manage transportation of the deceased with sensitivity and adherence to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients offering guidance and addressing their needs compassionately.
• Assist families with administrative tasks such as records management documentation and completing necessary legal paperwork.
• Embalming descendants and conduct heavy lifting safely when preparing the deceased for viewing or burial following proper procedures to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Participate in on-call coverage to respond promptly to emergency or last-minute service requests at any time.

Requirements

• Valid PA Funeral Director License
• Experience in funeral directing or mortuary services with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent client communication & ability to work compassionately with families.
• Knowledge of funeral & mortuary services procedures including legal documentation and records management.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; experience driving large vehicles preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts for emergency response coverage.
