Job Summary
We are seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer with 5+ years of experience in embedded software development and firmware programming. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python scripting, a solid understanding of microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems, and familiarity with embedded operating systems, communication protocols, debugging tools, and version control systems.



Job Title: Embedded Firmware Engineer
Location: Bartlesville, OK

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software and firmware using C/C++.
• Develop Python scripts to support automation, testing, debugging, and development activities.
• Work with microcontrollers and embedded platforms, including ARM Cortex-M/Cortex-A architectures.
• Develop and troubleshoot real-time embedded applications and software components.
• Work with embedded operating systems and build environments, including FreeRTOS, Yocto, Buildroot, and cross-compilation toolchains.
• Implement and troubleshoot communication interfaces and protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and TCP/IP.
• Perform firmware debugging and troubleshooting using tools such as JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Use Git for source code management, version control, and collaboration.
• Support software integration, testing, and debugging to ensure reliable embedded system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of embedded software development experience gained through industry experience, internships, or academic projects.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and Python scripting.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time software concepts.
• Exposure to ARM Cortex-M/Cortex-A platforms, such as STM32, NXP, Renesas, or similar microcontroller platforms.
• Familiarity with embedded operating systems and development environments such as FreeRTOS, Yocto, Buildroot, or cross-compilation toolchains.
• Knowledge of communication protocols, including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, or TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with embedded debugging tools such as JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Experience with Git or other source control systems.
