About the role :
SEE THIS BBQ is a specialty food business focused on wood-fired barbecue smoked meats and cheeses handcrafted maple syrups and made-from-scratch food products. The company serves customers through its retail offerings and online store. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to support daily business operations by maintaining accurate digital records updating product and inventory information processing order details and organizing administrative documents. The successful candidate will help ensure that business information is complete reliable and accessible to the appropriate team members. This role requires accuracy confidentiality and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting established deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
Enter update and maintain accurate product inventory customer and order information in company databases and spreadsheets.
Review source documents invoices purchase orders and sales records to verify the accuracy and completeness of information.
Maintain and update product descriptions stock quantities pricing records and item details as assigned.
Assist with recording online orders shipment details supplier information and inventory adjustments.
Identify duplicate entries missing information and discrepancies and report or correct them according to established procedures.
Organize and maintain electronic files invoices receipts and other business documents for easy retrieval.
Prepare basic spreadsheets and routine reports related to sales inventory and administrative activities.
Follow company procedures for data confidentiality document handling and information security.
Communicate with authorized team members to clarify discrepancies and complete data requests promptly.
Required qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Excel Google Sheets or similar spreadsheet applications.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to enter information accurately.
Good written communication skills and the ability to understand instructions and business documents.
Ability to organize records prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
Ability to handle business information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
Willingness to learn company systems data-entry procedures and inventory or order-management processes.
Previous data entry administrative retail or inventory-records experience is an advantage but is not essential for candidates who can demonstrate the required skills.
Nice to have
Experience with data management or office administration in a corporate setting.
Familiarity with additional spreadsheet or database software (e.g. Google Sheets Access).
Knowledge of data privacy best practices.
Previous experience in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
